What it covers
The unit uses an integrated scenario/case-based learning approach. You are introduced to mechanisms and consequences of problems related to mental, sensory, cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological and biomechanical capacities that underpin occupational engagement and occupational performance. You integrate this knowledge into occupational therapy and related theories/models of practice. They develop clinical questions, and acquire knowledge and skills from the process of describing and evaluating occupational performance, and assessing occupational engagement/performance. You will explore different contexts in which participation in occupation takes place.
