What it covers
In this hands-on unit, you explore how evolving technology, data, and artificial intelligence affect individuals, societies, organisations, and the environment. The unit is co-run by staff drawn from across the university who provide direct, broad disciplinary expertise in the impacts and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). You learn to incorporate AI responsibly and effectively into study and learning activities by engaging directly with the technology. In teams and individually, you will research, develop and test practical approaches to explore the potential of new AI technologies to create positive futures across disciplines. An understanding of AI’s potential for impact will be balanced against a sound, critical understanding of the complex implications of new technologies within different contexts.
