What it covers
This unit explores current curriculum contexts and contemporary trends in the teaching and learning of Health and Physical Education (HPE). You will develop your curriculum and pedagogical knowledge to support primary school students with developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for the pursuit of lifelong physical activity, as well as physical, mental and social health and wellbeing. The unit provides opportunities for you to critically analyse and engage with HPE curriculum, assessment and pedagogy in the primary years, and apply this knowledge to your practice. The wellbeing of learners in a variety of educational and community settings is examined.
