What it covers
This unit provides skills in CAD surface modelling techniques appropriate to product design. The content will focus on technical surfacing, concept exploration and design visualisation. Students will be introduced to NURBS-based surface modelling software, which will extend their 3D visualisation skills. NURBS-based software allows students to easily model freeform organic shapes, while the advanced rendering techniques will enable students to produce more realistic representations of their designs.
