What it covers

This course explores the writing of contemporary Australian authors on writing. The featured genres include letters, diaries, essays, articles, podcasts, interviews, and so on. This course centres extra-textual works by authors to enable sustained consideration of the process, themes and craft of Australian authors' work, to shed light on the creative process itself. You will study a range of texts - in various forms - exploring what it means to be an Australian writer in the current cultural and industrial landscape. You will also develop your own responses to the work of local writers, through reading and research.
