What it covers
Students will take their conceptual design and development work from Architectural Engineering Major Project 1 and apply this work within one or a series of defined project sites, contexts or client briefs. Through a series of developed design studies, they will progress to the production of context specific architectural engineering projects. They will take into account ethical and economic considerations with respect to the creative application of material / structural / performance, and/or service systems. This will build on their specialised study of particular design approaches and systems through application of engineering and design knowledge and theory. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the unique nature of the project context leading to the creation of the detailed brief, schematic and developed design outcomes. Work will be represented using appropriate physical and digital visual communication, modelling and information skills.
