CHEM-MAJ · Major · 48 credit points

Chemistry

Available in Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science Advanced - Global Challenges (Honours), Bachelor of Science Advanced - Research (Honours)

Rules for completing this course

You must complete: - a maximum of two units at Level 1 (12 credit points), and - a minimum of three units at Level 3 (18 credit points) Chemistry major requirements You must complete 48 credit points, comprising: - 12 credit points of Core units - 36 credit points of Additional units.

Core units

12 cp

You must complete two units (12 credit points) from the following list. Note 1. You choose either CHM1011 and CHM1022, or CHM1051 and CHM1052, depending on your chemistry background. Note 2. If you are in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science (E3007) double degree specialising in chemical engineering, CHM1011 or CHM1051 count as part of the major, however, they do not contribute to the 96 credit points of Science units required for the Bachelor of Science.

Additional units

36 cp

You must complete six units (36 credit points) from the following list, including a minimum of three units (18 credit points) at Level 3. Note 1: To enrol in CHM2990 or CHM3990, you must have the unit coordinator's permission.
